They know they have to do both, single player must be good because of halo, they need to compete with it. Multiplayer because if your going to bother making a multiplayer, its got to be as good as the competition or people wont care to play it (Battlefield 2 etc)

The only reason i play it is because it is infact still the best online FPS for the PS2.
